Olympian Lolo Jones, former Congresswoman Lindy Boggs, and Cox's Senior Vice President and General Manager Jacqui Vines were among the women honored at the Esprit de Femme Awards Sunrise Celebration on March 14.
The event was held at L'Auberge Casino and Hotel in Baton Rouge.
The other honorees included Jeanette Alcon of the Lafayette Community Health Care Clinic; Mary Brent-Brown, a senior at Scholastica Academy in Covington; Principal Sherry Brock, Westdale Middle School; Dr. Laurinda Calongne of Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center; and Amy Mitchell-Smith, former executive director of the Baton Rouge Film Commission.
District Attorney Hillar Moore received the Men Who Champion Women Award. The event was sponsored by the LSU Women's Center. WAFB's Michelle McCalope emceed the program.
