Former WAFB Channel 9 Anchor Paul Gates and his wife, Michele, served as honorary chairs of the 2012 A Walk/Run to Remember. The event sponsored by Alzheimer's Services of the Capital Area was held Oct. 20 at LSU.

The event drew more than 8,000 participants and has raised nearly $300,000 to help in the fight against this disease.
