Woman shot on Ryder Drive dies, suspect identified | News
BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB)- One of the people shot in a Baton Rouge neighborhood in broad daylight Wednesday has died and police think they know the name of the person responsible.
The Baton Rouge Police Department said Raolatu Alowonle, 28, succumbed to her injuries Thursday.
Detectives have identified Devon Livous, 28, as the suspected shooter.
He was last seen driving a newer model, two-door red Camaro.
Alowonle was shot in the mid-section on Ryder Drive around 4:45 p.m.
Her 11-year-old niece, who was also hit, is in stable condition and expected to survive.
The girl was shot in the leg.
Police said the two were walking on the sidewalk when the suspect got out of his car and fired multiple shots.
According to investigators, the shooting is believed to be the result of a domestic dispute.
