Outages leave over 3,000 in the dark | News

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB)- About 3,400 people in the Baton Rouge area were without power early Friday morning.
According to Entergy's website, about 1,600 people in Baton Rouge and over 1,700 people in Donaldsonville were in the dark at one point.
All of the Baton Rouge customers and over half of the ones in Donaldsonville got their electricity back before 5:35 a.m.
Just under 850 customers south of Donaldsonville stayed in the dark until around 6 a.m.
In Baton Rouge, the Perkins Road area near Bluebonnet Boulevard up to a little past Kenilworth Parkway was affected. The lights went out a little after 3:30 a.m.
The outages in Donaldsonville extended along LA 18 and roadways off the highway between south of the city until just before Convent. It happened around 3:15 a.m.
The site indicated power was expected to be restored to all areas by 6:30 a.m.
It did not give the cause of the power outages.
