Red wig robber strikes Iberia Bank on Highland | News
BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB)- Police are investigating a robbery at a Baton Rouge bank Monday morning.
It happened at the Iberia Bank on Highland Road near Kenilworth Parkway around 9:30 a.m.
Police say the suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene.
The suspect is described as a white male, five feet eight inches to six feet tall, and around 220 pounds. He was last seen wearing a khaki hat, a long red wig and beard, a blue long sleeved shirt, blue jeans, and purple gloves. He was carrying a dark colored gym bag.
Authorities are looking for the suspect.
Another robbery happened on May 1, 2012 at Regions Bank on Siegen Lane at 9:35 a.m. The suspect in that robbery was also wearing a khaki hat, a red wig and purple gloves. There is no word on if the two robberies are connected.
