Trying to get on the morning show to talk about your event? Looking for a way to publicize your upcoming fundraiser? Want to get the word out about your church program, but don’t know how?
The Baton Rouge Area Association of Black Journalists (BRAABJ) is hosting a workshop entitled “Making the Media Work for You.” Anchors, reporters, producers, and editors will teach you how to get your event in the media, how to write a news release, and how to conduct yourself during an interview.
The workshop will be held on Saturday, Feb. 16 from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Advocate, 7290 Bluebonnet Boulevard, in Baton Rouge. Breakfast will be served. The cost is $10 per person.
You can pay at the door, but you are required to RSVP in advance by sending your name, organization, and the number of people attending to brareaabj@gmail.com. Seating is limited so reserve yours today.
