GKD's Reginald Collins will be honored at WXOK gospel celebration
Greater King David's longtime Choir Director Reginald Collins will be honored at WXOK-AM Heaven's 59th Anniversary celebration on Nov. 16. The event will take place at Istrouma Baptist Church in Baton Rouge at 6:45 p.m.
Collins will receive the “Spirit of the City Award” for his continued work in the community. The station will also honor two individuals with the most coveted “Eula Mae Hatter Award” which will be presented to Gospel Trailblazers Dr. Charles Hayes and Gospel recording artist Yolanda Adams. In addition the program will feature more than 10 local and national recording artists including BET Sunday Best Season Three Winner Le’Andria Johnson, Myron Butler, Earnest Pugh, Jonathan Butler, Troy Sneed, Anita Wilson, Crystal Rucker, Deon Kipping, Alcide Simmons and The Voices of HeavenMass Choir. It will commence under the theme “Keep Living…” which is in tribute of those who have overcome life’s struggles and a message to those in the midst of their storms to “Keep Living… for the Victory”.
