Councilwoman/NAACP host meeting tonight to discuss EBR school board | Events
District 7 Councilwoman C. Denise Marcelle and Lamont Cole with the NAACP of Baton Rouge invite the public to attend a “Community Town Hall Meeting” to discuss the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board. The purpose is to discuss "Where are we going and how are we going to get there?"
The meeting will be held tonight Monday, February 13, at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center, 4000 Gus Young Avenue, in Baton Rouge.
The school board has been in the news lately for their angry outbursts at meetings and failure to name a new superintendent. Attendees at a recent meeting expressed their disappointment by chanting "recall, recall."
