Volunteers needed for Krewe of Mutts parade | Events
Volunteers and sponsors are needed for the 13th Annual Mystic Krewe of Mutts Mardi Gras parade "The Good, the Bad and the Furry" and Bark in the Park. It will be held on Sunday, Jan. 29 in downtown Baton Rouge from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The parade rolls at 1:30 p.m. from Fifth Street to Eighth Street and back.
It is sponsored by the Capital Area Animal Welfare Society (CAAWS). You can be part of the fun. You can help out on parade day, sponsor a group, donate a prize, or make a contribution.
This annual event is the largest fund-raiser for CAAWS. All profits profits go directly to support the spay and neuter fund, homeless pet adoption shelter, community outreach and humane education programs in the community. Established in 1979, CAAWS is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to the prevention of animal suffering in the Baton Rouge area. Please help us make a difference and prevent animal suffering. CAAWS is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
