Baker Police arrested a local resident accused of setting fire to a residence, placing the lives of his own minor children in danger. Detectives apprehended Bobby Lee Tircuit, 24, 1300 block of Johnston Street, in Baker.
Tircuit is accused of setting fire to a residence on Whitehead Street in Baker where his ex-girlfriend's two children were staying. Authorities linked Tircuit to the incident and learned that he had threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend and set fire to the residence.
Police say he set the fire because he had discovered that his ex-girlfriend and their two children were seen in the company of another man. Tircuit was booked in the East Baton Rouge parish prison with three counts of aggravated arson and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
