BATON ROUGE -- Louisiana Child Welfare and Attendance Personnel (LACWAP) recently inducted Elton Blunt as its new president during the annual conference at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Baton Rouge. Blunt, the organization’s former president-elect, will serve a one-year term. He is the current supervisor of East Baton Rouge Parish School System’s Child Welfare and Attendance Office.
LACWAP’s primary goal is to monitor the well being of children in every school district throughout the state and ensure they have the tools needed to succeed educationally. In the state, there are more than 140 members.
