Companion Animal Alliance director will speak at Rotary Wednesday | Business

Kimberly Sherlaw, the executive director of Companion Animal Alliance of Baton Rouge, will speak to the Rotary Club of Baton Rouge on Wednesday, June 20 at noon at Boudreaux's, 2647 Government Street, in Baton Rouge.
A native of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Kimberly first left the Great Lakes State to attend Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana where she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology. With a keen interest in human service organizations and community development, she returned to Ann Arbor to complete her graduate studies in social work at the University of Michigan. Soon after Kimberly moved to Norfolk, Virginia where began her 17 year career in nonprofit management. While in Virginia, Kimberly held leadership roles with several nonprofits including the Virginia Zoological Society, Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Hampton Roads and The Governor’s School for the Arts Foundation.
Kimberly most recently was employed as the director of the Bermuda Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and prior to that served as the executive director of the Norfolk (Virginia) Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
Kimberly is an active member of the Society of Animal Welfare Professionals and the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
