WAFB's Matt, Jay will be freezin' for a reason | Business
Title
Go jump in the lake! That's what we're telling WAFB's Morning Anchor Matt Williams and Chief Meteorologist Jay Grymes. Both of them will be participating in the Special Olympics Polar Plunge where they will jump into the chilly waters at Cabela's in Gonzales on Saturday, Jan. 28.
The event raises money for Special Olympics and helps athletes compete in local, state, and national events. Matt and Jay are asking the public to help them raise money. If you'd like to donate, you can drop your donations off at WAFB, 844 Government Street, or donate online at www.laso.org
Up to 200 people are expected to participate. Officials describe it as freezin' for a reason. The plunge takes place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Also, if you'd like to jump with them, go to the website to sign up. The cost is $50.
