Perkins Road construction completion commemorated with ribbon cutting ceremony | Business

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Mayor-President Kip Holden will host a special ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, July 29 to recognize the eleventh completion of the Green Light Plan. The ribbon cutting will take place at 10 a.m. at the Perkins Road project at the end on Jamestown Boulevard.
The Pecue re-alignment at Perkins project was constructed by Boone Services Inc. of Baton Rouge. Boone Services received the job through a public bidding process and was awarded the $2.2 million contact to realign the existing Pecue Lane north of Perkins.
Parking for the ribbon cutting ceremony will be provided alongside Jamestown Boulevard.
The complete project will be open to public travel on June 13.
